Until you are saved, you are not safe. Salvation is an escape route offered by God for mankind from the oppression of the devil and his cohorts (Heb 2:3)

My friend, I must ask you “are you saved, are you born again ?” I am sure you must have heard that several times in your place of worship, in the street, but today I want to ask if you are saved. The blessing of a father is not reserved for strangers but for sons and daughter of the House. I want to invite you to give your life to Jesus today.

Note:

• Being a deacon, a church worker or occupying any position in the Church don’t guarantee your salvation
• Being a member of a church or particular denomination don’t mean you are saved

Salvation or being born again is personal encounter with Jesus Christ, It is truly accepting Him in your heart as your Saviour and the Son of God. My friend if you lack a personal witness in your heart that you are a child of God, then surrender to Jesus Christ today (2 John 5:9-10, Romans 8:16)

In case you are still wondering why you should be saved, Follow me as I give a little insight into scriptures

In the beginning (In Genesis 1) God created all things and created man and gave Man- Adam dominion over all He had created (Gen 1: 26) and everything was very good (Gen 1:31).

Who was Man in the Beginning?

Man was a son of God because man was created in the image and likeness of God (Gen 1:26). Just like the child of goat is begotten in the image and likeness of a goat, in the same way man was created in God’s image and likeness, so man was a son of God. For like beget like (Gen 1: 11, 12, 21,24).

In the beginning before the fall of man, Adam was the son of God not a dust. Take note of what the scriptures said about man when he first was created.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man BECAME A LIVING SOUL. (Gen 2:7)

Although he was formed from the dust, but by the breath of God at work, MAN BECAME A LIVING SOUL, NO LONGER A DUST. This truth was also confirmed in 1 Cor 15:45

Dominion and Authority over everything the Lord has created was bestowed on man (Gen 1:26, 28, Psalm 8:4-6). Man was really in charge by the divine of God’s life and nature in him.

The Divine Mandate

The Lord gave Adam several instructions, among them was that he shouldn’t eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the day he does; thou shalt surely die (Gen 2:17)

Then Tragedy, Man Died

When the serpent step in and deceived Eve and who in turn lured Adam into it, the game changed. God told Adam when you shall eat of the fruit, he shall die (Gen 2: 17) and God can’t lie and His word must come pass. Man (the real man- the Living Soul) died and what was left of man was the moulded clay- the dust which he was formed before he came a living soul.

When man sinned aganist God, his real self, his identity died and what was left of him was the initial form – a moulded dust, What a tragedy.

The Consequences of the Fall

Due to the fall of man, God’s passed a verdict of what such disobedience has costed. In Genesis 3:19 …for dust thou art and unto dust shall return. Let us analyse this truth

• God’s Word said man was a living soul and after the fall God said man was now a dust. It mean that the real man died, what made man a living soul left- the life of God. What was left was a formed clay which man was before became a living soul.
• God is not a dust, God is a Spirit (John 4: 24), note after man was formed He was a living soul- a spirit living inside a body of clay- a flesh but after the fall, God called man a dust meaning that man (the spirit) has truly died. What was left was the body of clay, dust. The likeness of God in man left him.

The Lord said to the serpent (the devil) in Genesis 3:14.. “…dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life ” It means that Satan has authorisation and right to feed on the fallen men for man was a dust.

The Remedy

After the fall of man, God didn’t give up on man, He revealed a hint into His redemption’s plan in Genesis 3:15. When the time came, He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to died for me and you and the whole world that through him we should receive eternal life John 3:16 and step into a great level of Son-ship and relationship with God.

If you goes through the scriptures and locate verses that talks about salvation, most talk about life- everlasting or eternal life. Jesus came to restore what man lost in the garden of Eden – the life of God- that life that placed man in dominion. Not only that Jesus came to establish a better relationship between us and the father. Thank you Jesus. That why the Word said that He (Jesus) came to give us life, life in abundant (John 10:10)

For those that believe, Power changed hands

When we are saved- the following took place

• We became son and daughter of God (John 1:12, 1 John 5:11-13)
• Partake of Eternal Life (John 3:16)
• Redeemed to Overcome (1 John 5:4-5)
• Delivered from the Power of Satan (no longer in his cage) (Col 1:13)
• Power to Mess up the Devil and his cohort and walk out free (Luke 10:17-19, Mark 16:17)
• Placed in Heavenly Place Where devil can’t reach us- Far Above (Eph 2:5-6, Eph 1:20-21)
• Access to all Our Father (God) can offer (Eph 1:3, Math 7:11)
• And many more

Time of Change – the hour of Salvation

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) (2Co 6:2)

My Friend if you are not yet saved, I invite you to say this prayer in faith and with a sincere heart

Please pray this prayer with all sincerity and confidence

Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I am a sinner, I cannot help myself.

Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with your precious blood.Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the living God

Today, Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and my saviour. Thank you Jesus, for saving me. Now I know, I am born again
